Custom Climbing Guiding or Instruction

Got a climbing objective thats a little beyond you? Travelling so you need gear and a rock solid partner who knows the area? Keen to take friends or collegues out but you need a hand? Want to update your skills or some coaching to make sure you are on the right track? Read on!

If you’re looking for a customised climbing experience, this is the page for you . Whether you’re absolutely new to climbing, moving from sport to traditional climbing, single to multi-pitch or preparing for aid or alpine climbing, we are here to help. Our awesome instructors will work with you to design a climbing trip that is perfecty suited to you and up to 3 of your friends.

Private climbing trips with qualified instructors allows you to progress at your own pace, focusing on your personal development as a climber. Work on on your rope skills, hone your climbing technique and expand your comfort zone. If you want a trip training that’s tailored to your needs and experience, want to revise your skills and advance quickly or just prefer the personalised experience this trip is for you.

Key facts:

  • 1 day
  • Personal attention on a day designed especially for you (and your mates) max 4 participants – contact us if you have a bigger group and we will design and set it up specifically
  • All required equipment provided including ropes, helmet, harness, climbing shoes, belay devices, carabiners and other hardware.
  • Meet at 8am in Blackheath, Blue Mountains
  • Includes a healthy, delicious and filling lunch
  • We choose the location of our climbing days based on the weather and other conditions, your skills and abilities and what you want to get out of the day
  • For those with the appropriate experience there is the option for remote grose valley climbs or the Wolgan Valley. These can also be added after booking*

  • Climbing ethics
  • Caring for the cliff environment

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites, just enthusiasm and a sense of adventure (and the ability to walk into the crag ).  We will tailor the difficulty of the climbs to your aims and skills, climbs can range from beginner to more challenging routes – let us know what you want to do!  On booking we ask what your existing skills and experience are and thoughts on what you want to achieve for the day and we design something that suits you.

What’s provided:

  • Any personal climbing equipment required
  • Climbing hardware (ropes, draws and lots more)
  • An awesome lunch
  • Transport if you want

What you need:

  • Clothes suitable to the weather
  • Snacks and water (min 1.5L) for the day.

These trips have a set lead time and sometimes may not already be scheduled for the day you are looking to book for. If the day you want isn’t shown as available,  get in touch

*Trips to the Grose Valley and Wolgan Valley require certain skills and abilities. Grose Valley climbs could include Tom Thumb, Bunny Buckets Buttress, West Face of the Mirrorball etc. Wolgan Valley climbing takes you into the Wollemi National Park to areas like The Coke Ovens, The Coal Mines etc
