Nina Gallo

Assistant Manager/Instructor

Nina is a climbing instructor, guide and communications professional, whose love for climbing has been informing and compromising her life choices since she started climbing in 2006. What started as an innocuous study procrastination technique quickly took on a life of its own, and before long Nina was working all her plans around climbing.

Early experiences on the sea cliffs at Barrenjoey sparked a love of technical climbing on ancient sandstone, which continues to this day. However it’s the flow of granite cracks and sustained limestone sport routes that keep her coming back for more. Nina has been fortunate to travel extensively across Australia, climbing at Arapiles, Mt Buffalo, Frog Buttress and in Tasmania and WA. Overseas she has been blown away by the majesty and beauty of younger, mountainous landscapes in the U.S, Canada, the Himalayas and France.

Since training as a guide Nina has worked in the Blue Mountains, the Australian desert and Antarctica. She has been with the Blue Mountains Climbing School since its conception, and she looks forward to sharing her technical expertise and passion for climbing with you.
