Hugh started climbing in 2010 in the Blue Mountains and has spent a lot of time seeking out more “adventurous routes”. In early 2018 Hugh climbed the amazing Blade Ridge on Federation Peak in Tasmania’s Eastern Arthurs Range. Hugh has climbed throughout Tasmania and other well know Aussie crags including Arapiles, Mount Buffalo, Nowra and the Warrumbungles. He has also been fortunate enough to climb in USA at such crags as Yosemite, Toulumne, Sedona, South Lake Tahoe, Smith Rocks, Joshua Tree, New River Gorge and the Red River Gorge.
Obviously – he loves a trad adventure route in the wilderness.
Hugh holds a Cert IV in Outdoor Rec with nearly a decade’s experience in the industry, he also holds Australian Climbers Instructors Association (ACIA) qualifications and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
