Cillian has been climbing for over 15 years and guiding in the Blue Mountains for 12 of those. He has climbed extensively in the Blue Mountains, but also at Frog Buttress, the Grampians, Mt Arapiles, Point Perpendicular, Nowra, the Warrumbungles and Moonarie.
Internationally he has climbed in Thailand, the USA and Canada and has solid experience on rock, snow and ice in New Zealand. His top rated crag is the Needles, Southern Sierra, California.
Cillian has a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation with skill specializations in abseiling, canyoning and multi-pitch climbing. For a number of years he was a registered ACIA multi-pitch guide. Over the last two years he has added rope access work and qualifications to his skill set, and he continues to work on remote and complex film and rigging jobs that involve working at height.
Cillian loves crack climbing, alpine rock and mountaineering and recent expeditions to the Alps, Canada, New Zealand and Alaska have allowed him to venture further onto big mountains and climb more ice. Unfortunately his only current claim to fame is that he once onsighted a 3 pitch abseil.
