The Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion is recognised as the minimum standard for a qualified aquatic lifesaver.
The Bronze Medallion is a nationally recognised lifesaving award and has flexible delivery options to meet the needs of diverse groups.
This course delivers the Bronze Medallion training outdoors in the Blue Mountains with canyoning activities in mind.
This 1-day course requires a proficient level of swimming skill and fitness for successful completion. Assessment items include a 400m continuous swim within 13 minutes, using 100m each of freestyle, breaststroke, sidestroke and survival backstroke. A 50m swim and 50m contact tow of an unconscious patient within 3 min 15 sec needs to be achieved.
