Tyrolean Adventure!

An exhilarating Blue Mountains experience featuring a tyrolean traverse across a dramatic void onto Mushroom Rock, framed by sweeping views of Boar’s Head and Narrow Neck.  After traversing the tyrolean, follow a roped via ferrata-style rock scramble down and around mushroom rock back up the cliffs, and go again for another lap if you’re up for a thrill. Pre-requisites:

• No previous climbing or abseiling experience required.
• Are ok with heights and a little exposure.
• Suitable for adventurous individuals and families

Whether it’s your first time getting on ropes or you’re looking for a fun and picturesque day on the cliffs, Tyrolean Advneture is an amazing way to experience the beautiful cliffs of the Blue mountains

Your Adventure

We’ll meet you at the location’s carpark in Katoomba.  We’ll introduce ourselves and brief about the adventure, and then get fitted out with safety gear (about 15-20minutes) and then we’ll walk to the clifffs and start the adventure.

The Tyrolean

The tyrolean begins on the cliffs not far from where we park the cars.  we’ll get you attached to the tyrolean and you can then make your way across the void by your own power, or assisted by your experienced guides.  take your time to enjoy the views and the thrill of hanging out in space!

The Climb Out

Once you get to mushroom rock, a guide will help you transfer to the roped up rock scramble.  You will first descend off the back of mushroom rock, and then traverse around it on a narrow ledge, and finally scramble up a rocky ramp back to where you started.  You can go for as many runs as you like within the session.
