Self Rescue Level 1

Self Rescue Level 1

Ever had an epic?  Don’t start now!  Dress for success by learning the basics of mobility in a vertical environment.

This two day course covers the fundamental concepts of self rescue and lays the foundations for more complex procedures.

Learn how to ascend a rope using only cord and carabiners, abseil without a harness or belay device and cruise your way out of some tricky climbing situations. These skills set you up for the more advanced rescues in Self Rescue 2 that you’ll want to know before your first multi-pitch climb, abseil or canyon.

This short course is the first in a progression towards traditional and multi-pitch climbing, canyoning and abseiling. It is also excellent for photographers who want to capture great shots in vertical locations.
